"I strugeled with learning how to play this darn thing for two years before signing up with Guitar Alliance. I bought, and read books, bought DVDs and Video tapes and studied hard.
But I just couldnt get it. I got some big chloisis but couldnt play very good at all. After about a month at Guitar Alliance I started to notice that I was visiting the web site for pleasure and entertainment every day. And at the same time, my friends started to like jamming with me and I was playin pretty good.

" ok, LONG testimonial - i know whoever is reading this thinks its fake and is written by the owner of this site. YOUR WRONG. I am a real person of Indian heritage living in Indiana, i'm 17 and have only played guitar for almost 1 year. about 6 months into learning on my own (never took lessons) i decided it was time to get some schooling, but not from a real-life teacher.
I kept being referred to this site, guitaralliance.com, from other websites and local self-taught guitarists and I have to say it was the best decision I ever made. i could play a few basic chords before, now I can play my scales (SOLOING!) and even chord phrase to make my originals and covers sound more interesting and more personal. I have been told i picked up guitar pretty fast but with this site I can work as fast, or as slow, as I want. and since it's a website thats running 24 hours a day I can come on whenever, even at 4 in the morning to learn something new.
Work at your own pace, quick or slow, and keep yourself on the right track by learning the method to the madness with this site, your doing yourself a huge favor, trust me - P.S. it doesn't matter if you have a guitar teacher either, this site is great, even if its just for reference material, and who knows - you may discover you can learn faster than your teacher is teaching you :) - good luck and have fun playing!"
